Architect/ experienced Part II
Job description
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated architect to join our growing practice. You will have the opportunity to lead on the design and delivery of projects whilst working as part of our friendly team, with the potential to proactively contribute to the future development of the practice. In particular we are looking for somebody who can take a key role on housing projects and help develop this sector. We will also consider a Part II graduate if you have the right experience.(eg 5+ years post Part II, job running etc)
The Practice has a busy workload on a range of public and private sector projects, including residential, workspaces and community projects, both with existing buildings and new builds. Our live projects include:
A new net zero workspace for a local town council
Comprehensive refurbishment and extension of the HQ of a race equality organisation
Design and delivery of new community centre facilities for Worcester City Council across 5 different sites
Various design-led, new build and retrofit residential projects, including heritage buildings.
Applicants should have:
Strong design, technical and detailing skills
Demonstrable experience in sustainable design.
Experience in working across all RIBA work stages
The right to work in the UK
Nice to have:
Accreditation/ Specialism in low energy design (eg Passivhaus Designer, Retrofit Coordinator, life cycle analysis)
Experience in design and delivery of housing schemes.
Skills and interest in BIM & 3D modelling
You will have an enthusiasm for sustainable design and be looking to strengthen your position as a Project Architect. You should have good presentation skills. You should have a good understanding of spoken English and be able to write clearly. CAD skills will also be useful (we use Vectorworks), but equally important will be your enthusiasm.
